GYMNASTICS
AUSTRALIA NATIONAL OFFICE - UPDATE
Please note that the Gymnastics Australia National Office will close
for Christmas from 5.00pm on Friday 16th December and re open on
Monday 9th January 2006 at 9.00am.
Please also note that owing to the closure of the National Office
the final E-News for 2005 will be sent in the week beginning Monday
12th December. The first issue for 2006 will be sent in the week
beginning Monday 6th February 2006.
On behalf of the Gymnastics Australia Board and staff we would like
to wish you a Merry Christmas and a safe and rewarding New Year.
TECHNICAL
MEMBERSHIP UPDATE
Technical membership renewals for 2006 have now been sent and include
the mailing of the 2006 Technical membership diary. Keep an eye
out for yours to arrival this week.
State Associations will be providing Technical members with professional
development workshops throughout the January 2005 Congress Series.
This year once again, GA and State Associations (QLD/NSW/VIC/SA/WA)
have sourced an International Presenter (Tom Forster) for the Congress
Series.
Members from TAS/NT/ACT are encouraged to attend Congress sessions
in neighboring States to make the most of this exciting opportunity.
More information is available by contacting the Education Coordinator
in each State. Whilst
most Congresses are offered for an extended period, the dates that
Tom Forster will be attending the January Congresses are:
VIC: 13th -14th
SA: 15th
NSW: 20th
QLD: 21st -22nd
WA: 23rd
NATIONAL
INSURANCE PROGRAM FOR 2006
Gymnastics Australia and the State Associations are pleased to announce
that due to the introduction of the MRC and good risk management
procedures introduced through the Club 10 Program, the Public Liability
premium for Clubs in 2006 has been reduced by our insurance underwriters
(Sportscover).
The personal accident tragedy benefit payable upon death or disablement
has also been restored to $100,000 in lieu of the $50,000 benefit
payable in the 2005 policy.
The
Public Liability premium has been reduced to $875 (inc of GST) and
this will take effect from 1st January 2006.
State Associations will be in direct contact with all affiliated
clubs regarding this PL premium saving and restored benefit of the
National Insurance Program.
WOMEN'S
ARTISTIC - FIG CODE OF POINTS
The FIG Office have advised the following:-
"The documents concerning the New Womens Artistic Gymnastics
Code of points (only available in French German and English
for the moment) and the New Womens Artistic Tables of Elements
are
now available on the FIG INTERNET website.
Please
visit the RULES section (on the top of the page), then
select Go to download section under FIG RULES and have
a look at CODE OF POINTS 2005-2008 womens section.
BE
CAREFUL, I remind you that for the new code of points only the French,
German and English version available for the moment. The other one
are the old versions".
WOMEN'S ARTISTIC - AIS CLINIC
The annual AIS Clinic will be conducted again from the 19 -
22nd December 2005.

AEROBICS - TECHNICAL BULLETIN
The December edition of the Sport Aerobics Technical Bulletin can
be found on the Gymnastics Australia Sport
Aerobics website.
Included in this Bulletin is a listing of the new FIG Aerobics elements
and the nomination form for Official positions on the Australian
Team at international events in 2006.

AEROBICS - 2006 NATIONAL STREAM RULES
The Sport Aerobics National Stream rules are now available free
of charge for download from the Sport
Aerobics web site.
Please note that these rules are no longer available for purchase
from Gymnastics Australia.
CHEERLEADING
- UNIFORM DESIGN AND POM PON BAG COMPETITION
Congratulations to Simone Gilmour from Western Cheerleading Dance
Co. for designing the winning uniform.
Simone will receives 12 FREE Team cheerleading uniforms, courtesy
of "Nacisey", Cheerleading Products Manufacturer and proud
sponsors of Gymnastics Australia..
We look forward to seeing your team in their new uniforms in 2006!
Two special recognition prizes have also been awarded to Zoe Ross
from Sydney University and Kim Finlay from Mudgee High School. Both
will receive a special gift from Nacisey.

GYMNASTICS CHAMPIONSHIPS AND COMMONWEALTH GAMES EQUIPMENT GOES UP
FOR GRABS
